Asparagus might not be your favorite dish, but rest assured that this festival is more than just about asparagus. At San Joaquin festival, there is lots of rides, food, beer and fun to be had. During April, Stockton teams up wiht many farmers around the area, cooks, nonprofit organizations, and much more to collaborate and create entertainment for the family.
Some fun facts about this festival – In the course of previously held asparagus festivals, over 10 tons of California grown were eaten. This has given over $400,000 back to nonprofit organizations. Not a fan of asparagus? That’s okay, there’s also corn dogs, mac and cheese, bacon, fried rice, burgers, and much more.
